Stop It! Don’t Do That! Uggghhhhh!!!!
So this weekend Jay and I are heading down to southern Indiana to spend a couple days at a resort with his co-workers. This weekend was originally planned for January as the company Christmas party, but due to conflicting schedules, was pushed back so that every one could attend.
Can I just say I love my kids, but I am so looking forward to a quiet 36 hours with just my husband and I and the company of other adults who hold adult conversations. If you are a stay-at-home mommy, you know what I mean and how much value adult conversation holds. I know that I will be more than ready to get home to the kids on Saturday afternoon, but as of right now, I am counting down until 11:00 tomorrow afternoon.
Another part of the weekend that I am looking forward to is to get dressed up for a nice dinner. The only down side to this part is that I needed a nice dress to wear to this nice restaurant. (more…)
Tasty Tuesday and a Family Fun Giveaway
What a beautiful day we were blessed with! The sun was shining beautifully and it was just absolutely perfect. On Tuesday mornings the kids and I head to church for Bible study. Well, I go to study, they go to play with their friends. Normally we head straight home afterwords because Caroline is falling apart by that time. But once we got outside the church and saw how beautiful it was we decided to head to the park for a little bit. Needless to say, Caroline did not enjoy our trip one bit because she was being a fuss butt. She was terrified of the swing and the slide and just wanted to walk around throwing a fit and holding onto my leg. Oh well. I brought that onto myself. I just couldn’t let such a nice day go to waste and wanted to be outdoors enjoying it. Joel on the other hand practically had to be drug off the playground but decided to willingly come with me once I told him he had his swim lessons this evening and needed to get rest so he had lots of energy to swim off. Worked like a charm.
Joel loves to play at the park but loves even more to spend the time with other kids. I have a feeling that I am going to have my hands full with him when he gets to school age. He will be one of those kids. You know what I mean, the “social butterfly” that gets in trouble for talking too much. When we first got to the park this afternoon we w (more…)
Who-Fries!!!
Man! I have been such a bum when it comes to writing much lately. I haven’t had a whole lot to say I guess which is a first for me.
Thursday I decided on a whim to head down to Columbus to take the kids to the zoo for some new scenery. Even though it was a little bit overcast, it was a beautiful day! We had so much fun with Yai Yai (Jay’s mom) and even got to meet up with our cousins Julie and Sarah for a yummy lunch at Cosi. So guess what? I know you all are so excited… there are more pictures! I guess it’s a proud mommy thing that we love to share pictures of our babies with anyone that will let us. (more…)
Thinking Positively
So as I stated in a previous post, we recently joined our local Y. We have been wanting to loose some weight and our hind ends must get to it because we will be spending the first week of June here…..
We will be setting sale on board the Carnival Dream on May 29th for seven days with my sister Lindsay , brother in law Spencer and my two brothers Matthew and Nicholas. In just a few short weeks, my mom would have been graduating from the University of Findlay with her degree in Elementary Education. When she had started there as a non-traditional student two years ago, we (more…)
