Tootie Fruity Tasty Tuesday

Apr 6th, 2010No Comments

Sorry, I’m not feeling super creative this week for Tasty Tuesday so both of these are pretty darn easy and anyone can make them, there’s no way to possibly mess these up.

This recipe was one that I started making when I joined Weight Watchers after I had Joel. Since the angel food cake is fat free and you can buy fat free cool whip and sugar free glaze, it was low on points. Healthy and yummy! Can’t go wrong with that!

Recipe: Angel Food Cake and Berries

Ingredients

  • Angle Food Cake
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberry Glaze
  • Cool Whip
  • Sprinkles (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix together the strawberries and blueberries with the glaze.
  2. In a trifle bowl, layer the angel food cake, berries and cool whip.
  3. Top with sprinkles

This one is a great side to take for a cook out. You can glaze it with either sour cream or cool whip. I personally prefer the cool whip for the sweeter flavor. It’s super easy to make as the name of the recipe says it all.

Recipe: 5 Cup Salad

Ingredients

  • Mandarin Oranges
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Crushed Pineapple
  • Shredded Coconut
  • Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Drain the pineapple and mix all ingredients together.
  2. Cover and chill for 4 hours before serving.

I like to add more mandarine oranges and marshmallows than a cup.

For next week we will be sharing Casseroles. I look forward to seeing what your favorite one is!
