Who-Fries!!!

Man! I have been such a bum when it comes to writing much lately. I haven’t had a whole lot to say I guess which is a first for me.

Thursday I decided on a whim to head down to Columbus to take the kids to the zoo for some new scenery. Even though it was a little bit overcast, it was a beautiful day! We had so much fun with Yai Yai (Jay’s mom) and even got to meet up with our cousins Julie and Sarah for a yummy lunch at Cosi. So guess what? I know you all are so excited… there are more pictures! I guess it’s a proud mommy thing that we love to share pictures of our babies with anyone that will let us.

It wouldn’t be a complete zoo experience unless Joel got to stop and sit on/climb on or hug every single animal statue.

Love that little goober.

Intrigued with watching the Otter swim back and forth.

Tired baby might just fall asleep with that goldfish right where it’s at.

Joel and  his cousin Sarah

Every other Friday Jay and I have small group Bible study with 4 other couples from our church so Rachel, our babysitter came to stay with the kids for a couple of hours. Joel just absolutely loves Miss Rachel and can’t wait for mommy and daddy to leave once she gets here so that he can have her undivided attention. Since we had such a beautiful week and I blew off my household duties to spend time outside with the kids, Friday was a catch up day with laundry, dishes and cleaning before our babysitter came over.

Can you tell that Joel was antsy for daddy to get home from work so that Miss Rachel could come and play?

Like I said, much of my Friday was spent doing this

Laundry is by far my least favorite household task. I absolutely despise it. I got it all ran through the washer and dryer that morning and then sat down to fold it while the kids took their naps and I watched a rerun of Cold Case so that it wasn’t nearly as painful :) However, Caroline decided that she didn’t like the way that I folded the laundry……

She is cute, well in my slightly biased opinion, the very cutest. But don’t let her fool you, she is quite the little stinker that one!

So you may be wondering what in the world the title has anything to do with anything. Well, absolutely nothing. Tonight Jay told Joel that if he was a good boy during dinner and got ready for bed without complaining, then he would get a surprise. Joel’s eyes got so big and said “I want a whofries!” I just thought that it was so cute. You can always count on Joel to say something that will bring a smile to your face and make me laugh.

I hope that you all had a great Monday. It’s going to be another beautiful week so get out there and enjoy it. I’m hoping to get something yummy posted tomorrow for Tasty Tuesday since it has been a few weeks. If you can think of any recipes that you would like to share we would love to hear them. I am in desperate need for some new recipes of any kind do try.
