Might be just a bit too big….

Nov 17th, 20096 Comments

So we have been working on our to do list in order to get ready for my sister Lindsay and her family to come and stay with us for Christmas. The top priority on that list was to repair our outdated bathtub. I am so thankful that my father-in-law offered to under take this large task. The only downside is, we only have one bathroom, so therefore the tub is out of commission for a few days. We have been going down the street to take our showers at my mother and father-in-laws house. Well Joel was in desperate need for a bath, but I didn’t have the time to run down to my in-laws house because we had somewhere to be in a short while, so I got the bright idea to try and bath him in the kitchen sink like I used to when he was little. Have you ever tried bathing an almost 3 year old in the kitchen sink????? (I doubt that anyone has but me!) Jay and I laughed at the site, and being the photo opportunistic parents that we are, could not let this one pass. So, I just had to share this comical site with all of you.

Needless to say, after making a huge mess of trying to keep the water in the sink, and more hassle than it was worth, he is squeaky clean.

Can’t you tell he just is beside himself with excitement?

I completley know where you are coming from! Karen and I swear her kids are missing a skill. The girls are the messiest eaters. Paige always puts her hands in her hair. Izzy will completely miss her mouth and never sits on her chair, you can always count on her falling off her chair. So yes I understand the need for the desperate bath time. Our girls would be so thrilled to have a bath in the sink, but I am afraid to do it, they might want it all the time. Bathroom renos are hard to deal with. We didn't live in our house for 11 months while my dad replaced both bathrooms, absolutly painful! But we love our bathrooms now! Hang in there!
